After you have moved out and the keys have been refunded to us you will need to close all your utility and council tax accounts and then put it an official request to for your deposit to be refunded to you. The way you put in an official request will vary depending on whether or not we are holding your deposit or if your landlord is holding your deposit - this is usually based on whether or not you were paying your rent directly to us or directly to your landlord.

Managed / Rent Collect Properties:

If we were collecting your rent each month or managing your property, then we will have been holding your deposit. If this is the case, then once you have vacated the property and the check-out appointment has been completed, you should request your deposit back by filling out the ‘Request Deposit Refund‘ form on our website: https://letmeproperties.co.uk/deposit-refund/

Let Only Properties:

If your landlord has been managing your property, then they have been holding your deposit and they are responsible for dealing with your deposit refund. Once you have vacated the property and the check-out appointment has been completed (if applicable), please contact your landlord directly and request that they pay your deposit back to you as soon as possible.
